It's pretty good.

The Play button at the start doesn't work, but overall, this isn't bad at all...
...for a KK submission. It's got good artwork, nice animation, no flashing lights, no loud or unpleasant noise, a plot... Just about anything one could ask for in a submission. It only loses points for the button not working.

Kottbullar responds:

Fixed it!
Thanks for the 9/10 despite this little bug!

Just as I suspected from RupeeClock

Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Rupee, you are the best Flash maker among the Clock Crew. Whenever your next submission comes out, and only you know when that'll be, it'll be worth the wait. And believe me, I'll be waiting.

RupeeClock responds:

You don't have to wait, mark me as your favourite author and set it up so you get notified of new submissions.

Better than most first-timers' movies.

It's not the all-time best Christmas movie I've seen on Newgrounds, but it sure as hell isn't the worst (I've counted at least two worse today alone). The graphics weren't all that good, seeing as how you made them in Flash itself, but I liked the idea, and the use of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's music gave it the feel that one would expect for a fight between two such colossi of capitalism (meaning instantly recognized marketing symbols whose mere presence on a product nearly guarantees a profit) as Mario and Santa, while keeping the Christmas mood one would find at this time of year, and in anything involving Santa. It also contained a well-thought-out storyline, and an ending fitting the characters and abilities of both warriors. I'd probably give it a ten if the graphics were better, but I suppose a 4/5 and 8/10 isn't too shabby at all, and this movie deserves it.

Gustavos responds:

Thanks Soulmaster!

Finally there are people not flaming me.

Better than I expected.

It definitely could have used sound, and some of the empty space from the sprite sheet was still there around the Mario sprites, but I almost expected this to be another take-off on the "Adolf Hitler: Around the World in 80 Days" idea. With some improvements, I can smell the distinct possibility of this becoming a pretty good series.

TheLucky7Crew responds:

thankyou! this is better than the hitler series

You've done this before.

You have submitted this exact same movie to the Portal before, under a different name. You have not changed it at all. Maybe you could submit something new next time?

Chaz-o responds:

No i havent.

Maybe.

A Newgrounder's Lament

Where in our world is the old Blam Club in this hour, when Newgrounds needs them most? Where are those of the 2001 crop with the will to blam any and all spam that exists in the Portal? Though but a newb here on NG, even I know of them, who blammed the Clocks' movies while the Clocks were still spammy teenagers, who were one of the reasons that the Clocks were forced to grow up. Where are these ancient heroes now? Have they all left Newgrounds? Do they no longer care about the quality of flash in the Portal? If they remain, do they even see how the Kitty Krew and AfroUnderscoreStud now spam the Portal, or are they blind?

Wherever they are, this is an extremely well-made movie. If only every movie in the Portal was this good, NG would never have needed a Blam Club. But in this hour, when the Portal is filled constantly with spam, the ancient Blam Club is needed now, more than they were needed in the early days, when a few CC submissions would appear each month. This movie, though old, contains their message, and brings the message and the legend to each new era.

capn-g responds:

Alas we of the old guard are just that... old. Gone are the carefree days when we could stand vigil over the portal and bitchslap the crap as it came. It is to you, the new generation that we pass this honour and this burden. Make us proud and godspeed...

Tetris? B? Count me in!

I love Tetris. For a few months before my parents would let me get my first Zelda game I lived off of it. And you're guaranteed to get 5/5 and 10/10 in this, just for referencing B multiple times, since I'm a big CC fan, and B is in my favorites. You're pretty damn good. Can't wait to see your next work. Oh, and recommended this for Songs To Wear Pants to, just like you said.

10JD responds:

Thanks for your support, and I'm Glad you liked it. Ill have my nex animation submitted in about a week or 2 well anyway thanks a lot.

Excuse me?!

As any fan of Clock Crew movies knows,
YOU CANNOT KILL STRAWBERRYCLOCK!!!
Sorry, but because I like the Clocks, you get a 0 for killing their original inspiration.
B.

EdwinsGeneration responds:

HOller back at that man! You know if I could revive the original inspiration that is Clock Crew (or looking at the wall for the time) I would, unfortunately it appears to be too late. ;(

I just got a cool Clock Day idea!

That Moskau easter egg gave me a great idea for a movie that should be put up on Clock Day: Clock Moskau! Starring StrawberryClock as the lead dancer (ya know, with the moves so often seen on Moskau-related YTMNDs). The main difference between SBC and that dancer being that the dancer died of AIDS in 1993, and...
Even AIDS cannot kill StrawberryClock!!!

RupeeClock responds:

You know, this movie was made over 3 years ago...

Numa Numa+Video Games=Amazing

I didn't have internet access in 2004, so I missed out on the Numa Numa craze, the anti-Numa backlash (presumably after it annoyed the crap out of everyone), and the death and disappearance of Numa Numa. But Luigi looks like he's on crack, and that's funny. And those are some interesting moves by Tails (even though I spend a lot of time questioning his sexuality). All in all, just like every clock-made movie since B itself, this is good.

RupeeClock responds:

Why are you questioning the sexuality of an 8 year old fox?

Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder.
