Oh rtil...

...you don't make anything that's not totally amazing, do you? Even when you try to make a short loop like this it comes out perfectly animated, and rather cute. You're a Flashmaking god... I don't usually tend to like short little loops like this, and you lose points on the vote and review for that, but... Otherwise, this is amazing.

One hell of a movie.

Well, Zombie-Pimp, looks like you've made the best Flash of Pico Day... And devoted it to an anti-Kitty Krew message. Now, I used to discriminate against Flash based on crew preferences, back when I was wholly anti-KK in October/November, but I'm not going to do that now. Not for such an amazing movie as this.

Looking at your previous Flash, I should have expected something this amazing from you, but I guess I didn't. Caught me off-guard, you can say, to see that someone had managed to out-animate Adam Phillips, and to make a Flash that impresses me this much. The NG crowd look amazing, Tom and Pico and Darnell and P-Bot... Totally loved the Penicorn... And did I mention how hot Nene looks? Seriously, you've made her look better than anyone before you has.

As for the plot, I've seen NG heroes blast the KK before (notably in Don't Mess With P-Bot, a Daily Feature which was one of my faves up until the admins deleted it just today), but never this well nor with this much story behind it. A tower of Kitties, 1000 of them, making bad Flash and upvoting it just enough to get Turd and Underdog... And BigFuzzyKitten himself at the top, watching 2girls1cup (side note: Meatspin would have been more accurate), still angry at some of the NG mods and admins (specifically Luis, apparently, from the looks of the man who kicked him off the computer) for being cruel to him in his early days. P-Bot sacrificing himself to save Pico... One of the most epic movies I've yet seen, anywhere! Seriously, I've seen cinematic releases that weren't this amazing.

Now, I am a member of the Kitty Krew. But I cannot deny the huge quantities of awesome that you submitted to the Portal in this movie. One of the best movies submitted to Newgrounds yet, and certainly the best anti-KK movie on the site.

You cannot stop MBot?

Apparently someone could, and that someone's name was Wade Fulp.

This is actually one of your "better" works, Zeeb. Not quite a weeklong effort in, ahem, "experimental" techniques and spoofs of every anime and movie ever made like another alt-submitted movie of yours that I can name, but it's certainly not bad. My biggest problem with this submission is not so much with the movie but about the very concept of MBot, but it's far too late to talk about that now.

You could have placed a "replay" button at the end of the movie, on that final frame with "MBote for the Win" and "You cannot stop MBot", but other than that, no complaints. Well, except that it's not some long, complex movie like some others I enjoy, with story and such, but that obviously wasn't the purpose of this movie.

It was supposed to end in a shitty loop thing, but thgfdhf sgfhshfd MBot was great

All right! Now we're getting somewhere

I remember when these began, all the way back in December. Back then, these movies, while better than the Afro_Stud ripoff that I expected, well... OK, I can't really put it any other way, and no offense, but they just sucked at the start. No sound, crappy sprite use, blank white background, you remember it all so I won't waste space with any further detail. Then you had Bstuk2 do episode 4, while you worked on other projects... And it was the best one yet.

But you must have taken the hints from the NG community about improving your skills and your submissions, because this one's damn good. If I may say so, Yoshi, it's a major improvement over any other work that you have yet made. I'm greatly impressed by how much you have improved since December, or even more so on your great improvements since the last time I saw any of your movies other than the Afro_Stud ripoffs.

Overall, it's not quite the best movie I've seen on NG. However, it is the best movie of yours that I've seen. Keep up improving like this, and pretty soon you'll be one hell of a popular artist, far more so than you are now.
5/5, 10/10. Review #106.

Sispri responds:

Thanks, SoulMaster, I do consider this one of my best works. It was also my time using sprites, heh. They'll be more to come, so look out. ;)

All right dec...

You've certainly improved since those first two Anti-KK movies you made. True, this one wasn't quite of the quality of Bowser's Kingdom or some other legendary sprite movies I could mention, but it's both an improvement over your earlier work and a fairly good movie in itself. Not bad at all. The sound was a little too loud on my computer, so it loses a point for that, but overall it's pretty damn good. Plus, you knew exactly who would win in that situation... Samus > Meta Knight.

thx soulmaster... Yeah my flash would maybe never be better than those like SMBZ... And I also knew that samus pwns Meta knight...

This movie is...

Another Bahamut classic. Though perhaps not as funny as your recent Pokémon Flash, there's still quite a bit to love in this movie. Though I don't laugh as much at anything done by the News Reporter as I do at some other things in your movies (like that f***ing Censor Remote), you've still got the comic skills to make him funny at times, or at least part of a funny scene. Like him falling asleep while reporting the news about Pikachu becoming the Prime Minister... I don't know why, but I considered that hilarious. Was that a Hitmontop in the background? And then the appearance of the Censor Remote, a great addition to any movie, whether it's good like this one, or a total piece of s***.

Overall, it's good. D*** good. Just like the rest of your work.

kinggila responds:

"Another Bahamut classic."

Certainly. This is the flash that made News Reporter a new major character on my flashes. :D

"Was that a Hitmontop in the background?"

Yes it was. :)

Thanks for that review. News Reporter thought your review for this flash was very interesting. :)

I have been wanting...

...to review this movie for quite a while. However, until now I haven't been able to put into words my thoughts on how good this submission is. For the longest time this movie was at the #1 score position on NG, and in my own opinion it still deserves that title.

Of all the movies I've seen on this site, from the very first moment I signed up, Waterlollies has to have the best animation, the most perfect visuals, and possibly the best music for its story out of all of them. In fact, it reminds me, well, of a Disney work, which is fitting considering that the author worked for Disney. The plot isn't as strong as those of some of the movies on NG, but in the face of otherwise perfection it makes little difference. And the plot is better than those of the rest of the Brackenwood series anyway.

Overall, this is a very good movie, one of the best ones on Newgrounds now, and likely to remain one of the best forever.

I've been waiting...

...since the Fagamut one-off, waiting for this movie to finally be released, and now it's here! I will admit that I was a bit worried the last few days about whether you'd actually release this, with Afro_Stud giving up on his series, but I suppose my fears were unfounded. Now, onto the movie!

It's just as good as I expected. In fact, I could even say it was better than I expected it to be. You made some improvements to your drawings I see, and that certainly boosted its quality. I also didn't expect the use of cheat codes and such, which are a real blast from the past for me since I used to play Pokémon, and used them a long time ago (incidentally, you might have found your game less corrupted if you had simply used another trick I know, with some trainers near the Seafoam Islands... But I digress). And Digimon and a PS3 are never expected in any Pokémon Flash like this, so I had to laugh at the use of them.

All in all, this one's pretty good. In fact, one of the best and funniest movies I've seen on NG thus far.

kinggila responds:

Once I've done a fair amount of stuff on one flash, I refuse to cancel the project. I just hate to waste effort I put into any flash, even if I only worked on it for an hour or two. If I decided to not submit this flash after what happened recently, it would have been a complete waste of time.

Ah, I couldn't leave this flash without some misfortune at the end of it, and the use of cheat cartridge I thought was perfect for a Pokemon parody. It reminds me of the time I used an infinite master ball cheat on Pokemon Silver and it fucked the shit out of my key items bag. :( Never again I trusted a cheat cartridge. I never had any major problems with Missingno. however, but that was mainly because I never caught one on my Blue game.

Of course Digimon on the PS3 would never be expected because there isn't a Digimon game for the PS3 AFAIK. And besides, Digimon has been very quiet for years now.

Thanks for that great review (I noticed this is your 100th flash review :) ) SoulMaster71!

Good work, Star Syndicate.

I usually don't like noir; it's often a bit too serious for my tastes. But this one was good, indeed better than good. Truly this submission was deserving of the day celebrating it! There is much here to love, for any fan of great Flash movies.

It's almost impossible for me to try to give any "help" or "tips" in the face of near-perfection, especially since I'm not a Flash-maker myself, but I did have one minor problem, not with the content of the movie but with the preloader. You see, it took multiple clicks of the "Play" button to get the movie to play. And while the reward for finally getting it to work was definitely worth the number of clicks, it was still a bit of a minor nuisance (just not enough of one for me to take off review points).

thanks for the review sir!

All right...

I just reviewed the daily submission from the main series by Afro_Stud, so it's only fair that I do the same for the Special Episode submitted around the same time.

All in all, this was almost the same as most of the others. But it was just, well, a little better. Some change every now and then is a good thing, as today's short break from Pokémon to celebrate a respected Newgrounds moderator certainly is.

But just like I said in other reviews of these same sorts of submissions, it's just not enough. It could use some work, preferably in the form of animation. Heck, even if it's just a little tweening, it would be a major improvement over most of these submissions, which are for the most part single-frame movies after the intro (except when Afro_Stud decides to add the Pokémon's evolution scene).

As far as scores go, +1 for the intro (which never gets old), +1 for the break in the monotony and the celebration of a respected Newgrounds figure, +1 for the background music (last time I heard this song was quit a while ago, and it brought back some memories), and +1 for your ability to actually find a picture of a blue hippo.

kinggila responds:

I respect the fact that the score was lowered down a lot due to the lack of animation, but as a big fan of Afro_Stud's Adolf Hitler flashes, I wished to have made my own Adolf Hitler flashes as well in the exact same style as his flashes. If his flashes were more animated, I would have added some animation here as well. But hey, a bit of animation for these special episodes wouldn't hurt anyone, besides Afro_Stud. XPXP

With Afro_Stud's permission, I have made some special episodes just to celebrate certain landmarks of the main series, some for people's birthdays like this one for BlueHippo and most importantly, I make these special episodes for fun. :) Still, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your review score here.

Also, I was extremely lucky to have gotten that blue hippo BG. I almost lost the image of it because of sites disallowing direct links from Google, but was lucky enough to still get it. :)

One last thing, I remember your review for Fagamut: FAI493+D 001 and considering the fact that you enjoyed it, you might like to know that Bahamut: CAI493+D 001 shall be submitted to the portal on 27th April. :D Thanks for the great review SoulMaster71!
